Ballywick’s a play on ‘bailiwick’ - an area of skill or expertise.
My ballywick? Transforming bad copy or unfocused ideas into something that makes efficient use of time and speaks to customers’ wit and intelligence.

My magical mystery tour.

It started with long car rides. Then - age 7 - the first of many international moves. As the adventures grew, Lauren had stories to tell and postcards to fill. By age 15 she’d been to school on 4 continents. By age 17, she’d camped at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and the top of the world: Mount Everest Base Camp.

Keen observation preceded furious writing. Today, Lauren writes for travel industry clients in tones so contagious they hurt.

Travel copywriting is the perfect fit for a lifelong expat who speaks in Ameri-glish, writes in British and swears in Chinese. Who better to distill the tasty joys of perpetual motion and nonstop discovery?

Call it match-making: she writes copy so effectively that readers can’t help themselves. Whether plane ticket booked or hotel room chosen:
her copywriting gets people moving. And laughing. It’s compulsive. This is pure honesty and pure heart - rarely found online.

After 4 years of teeth-cutting at marketing agencies and incentive travel firms, she set out as a creative copywriter in her own right. Based in Vancouver, she’s able to work anywhere for a varied set of international clients.

Have Macbook, will travel.
